Mike Jessen

Mike Jessen, affectionately known as "Spike" has been an LGBRC member for many years. He often leads the weekend rides.

How did you become involved in cycling? "Well, I have an old roommate to thank for getting me into cycling. Once upon a very long time ago we rented a house with a one-year lease. After about three months things deteriorated enough so that I just absolutly couldn't stand this one roommate. So I needed some way to disappear for a long period of time. I dug out my old college-era 10 speed and I was off wobbling down the road. And I haven't stopped riding since. That was the only good thing I could say about this roommate, she got me onto a bike."
